1. Team Composition (3-5 Members):
a. Each team must consist of maximum 5 members.
b.
Participants may only be a member of one team throughout the
entire duration of the hackathon.
2. Problem
Statement:
a. Problem statements will be revealed on
the day of the event, ensuring that all participants start
on an equal footing.
b. All projects must be original
and developed within the designated time frame of the
hackathon.
3. Event Format and Presence:
a. The
hackathon will be conducted in an offline format at a
physical location.
b. At least one participant from
each team must be physically present at the designated
location for the entire duration of the event.
c.
Remote participation or virtual teams will not be allowed to
maintain the neutrality of the event.
4. Submission:
a. Teams are required to submit their project offline
via Github Repository/USB pendrives provided by the
organizing committee.
b. The entire codebase of the
project must be submitted to the judging and decision-making
committee.
c. Along with the codebase, teams must
include a readme file that provides the following
information:
i. Product Manual: A detailed guide on
how to use and interact with the project.
ii. General
Working: An overview of the project's functionality and
purpose.
iii. Technologies and Frameworks
Incorporated: A list of the technologies, programming
languages, and frameworks used in the project.
5.
Equipment and Belongings:
a. Participants are expected
to bring their own laptops, chargers, and any other
necessary equipment required for the hackathon.
b. All
participants are responsible for the safety and security of
their personal belongings during the event.
c. The
organizing team will not be liable for any loss or damage to
personal equipment or belongings brought by participants. It
is advisable to take precautions and ensure the security of
your items.
6. Disqualification:
a. The
organizing team reserves the right to disqualify any team
found violating the rules or engaging in any unfair
practices.
b. By participating in the hackathon, all
participants agree to abide by these rules and accept the
decision of the organizing team as final.
7.
Intellectual Property:
a. Participants retain full
ownership of their intellectual property.
b. However,
by participating, teams grant the organizing committee the
right to showcase their projects for promotional purposes.
8. Judging Criteria: Projects will be evaluated based
on the following criteria:
a. Innovation and
Creativity
b. Functionality and Technical Achievement
c. User Experience and Design
d. Impact and
Potential Practical Application
9. Code of Ethics:
a. Participants are encouraged to adhere to ethical
standards, respecting privacy, and data security.
b.
Participants a requested to promote a positive and inclusive
hackathon environment where all participants are treated
with respect.
